नगर में बरसात से पहले नालों की सफाई को लेकर पूर्व पार्षद व वर्तमान में भाजपा के महामंत्री प्रदुमन सिंह पोसवाल ने और भारतीय जनता पार्टी के कार्यकर्ताओं के साथ मिलकर रुड़की नगर मेयर गौरव गोयल को ज्ञापन सौंपा जिसमें उन्होंने मेयर गौरव गोयल से अनुरोध किया कि नालों की सफाई का कार्य नगर के अंदर से गुजर रहे नालों से शुरू किया गया है जबकि यह कार्य पहले नगर के बाहर जाने वाले नालों की सफाई के साथ शुरू होना चाहिए था ताकि नगर में वर्षा का पानी आसानी से बाहर निकल सके और नगर में जलभराव की समस्या उत्पन्न ना हो

पूर्व पार्षद ने नगर मेयर को अन्य कई सुझाव दिए और नालों की सफाई के बाद जल्द से जल्द नाले का मलवा उठाने की भी सलाह दी इस मौके पर अमित अग्रवाल ,कविश मित्तल ,हर्षित गर्ग आदि मौजूद रहे
